Murrumbidgee Turf Club (MTC) conducts 25 Thoroughbred race meetings each year and is the largest racing and training centre in southern country NSW.
The highlight of the MTC is the prestigious Wagga Wagga Gold Cup Carnival, which is the largest tourist attraction in the Riverina, drawing a crowd in excess of 13,000 people.
Our picturesque gardens, great venues and ample parking makes us the ideal place to hold wedding receptions, seminars, conferences, award nights, expos, fairs & family reunions.
We are seeking a talented individual to our team to continue delivering excellence in Country Racing NSW and make the role their own.
About the Role
We are seeking a ionate and dynamic sales, marketing and events professional to our team on a permanent part-time basis (hours negotiable).
Covering various aspects of our business, you will primarily be responsible for facilitating functions, 100 Club sponsorship program and Gala evening, raceday sponsorships & hospitality, marketing, promotions and business development.
You will lead all aspects of events, marketing and sponsorship activity for Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
The Role
Sponsorships
• Implement and own the 100 Club program, from re-g the sponsors and creating Wagga’s night of nights at the 100 Club Gala evening.
• Manage the annual sponsorship renewal process, identifying opportunities for growth, securing new leads and presenting tailored proposals to secure ongoing partnerships.
• Oversee the execution of all sponsor entitlements across MTC race meetings, including race sponsorship, corporate hospitality, signage, branding, and on-site activations.
• Attend MTC racedays to host sponsors and ensure a long-term valuable partnership is maintained.
Events
• 100 Club – concept, theming, marketing, sales and delivery of gala evening and program.
• Functions – liaise with customers and facilitate all aspects of venue hire for commercial, private and community groups.
Marketing
• Create engaging social media, website and marketing content to promote MTC events to local community.
• Liaise with local media and manage production of TVC, radio and print campaigns.
• Manage all marketing contracts with local media partners.
Raceday Hospitality
• Manage Pre-sales bookings through the TryBooking platform (no prior knowledge required).
• Booking & engaging suppliers and promotional activities such as caterers, entertainment, photographers, florists.
• Theming for feature racedays and coordinating furniture set up, table plans.
• Monitor service quality, guest , and implement improvements.
